My students need: Post-it notes for reading (lots of them!), pencil sharpeners, a 3 hole punch, colorful and white construction paper, markers, pencils, and expo wipes for board.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A typical day in my class is exciting and filled with laughter and love. I serve over 300 students weekly from K-5. I am the Talent Development teacher as well as the Gifted teacher and I work hard everyday reminding my students how powerful beyond measure they are!
My favorite quote:TRUST YOURSELF!
I work in a Title-1 school.
Parent participation is very scarce. As I stated before, I am the gifted teacher and part of my job is to provide enrichment in Math and Language Arts. Most all of our students lack the vocabulary acquisition and experience that is often so important in life. I do my best to bring these experiences to my students whom I love.
The make-up of my students range from African American to Hispanic. These students have a love of learning, and are often very excited to come to school. Parental involvement is lacking in our school, and as you may imagine parental support in the classroom is too. I am often in need of supplies, as I serve roughly over 300 students weekly. My job is to provide the BEST for my students despite the socioeconomic status of their parents. It is not their fault, and I want them to have the best, no less!
My Project
Normally, I would purchase everything without giving it a second thought. However I have recently fallen on hard times myself, and I am unable to provide the much needed basic supplies.
If I receive the items on my list, my students will be able to create art projects, have writing utensils, erasers, a sharpener (of which I am desperately in need of) just the simple, basic things that other teachers may have but take for granted. These donations are simple, yet important and would help to make things a lot easier for my students. I have also requested the hole punch because I often need to punch holes in worksheets for the students to put in their binders. Currently, I have a hole punch that does not work consistently.
Please consider helping us out, it would mean the WORLD to me!
Will you help me make a difference?
Your donations would allow the students to create projects and work without restriction.
I truly feel like my students deserve much more than I have requested, your donations will be a great way to help get started on the right foot. Thanks for your consideration!
