We acknowledge the strength of pre-k's inclusive culture, where friendship knows no bounds. Our goal is to nurture this spirit of friendship through engaging and diverse learning opportunities, and teaching about our diverse history. Our students may come from low-income families, but they represent a vibrant tapestry of cultural backgrounds. While enjoying preschool, we would like our students to learn about different cultures that may be in their neighborhoods. We know that seeing ourselves and others while learning through play helps our efforts to increase outcomes and with your help, our students become good neighbors with opportunities to see themselves reflected in our classroom and lessons. Working with diverse materials such as a doll house with a cultural difference from our norm and band-aids that match our skin tones helps us to connect with our neighbors.
