Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students will work for snacks! Snacks are one way I motivate them throughout the year. They work hard to pass iReady quizzes in math and reading, and they love getting to choose from our prize box full of fidgets and snacks, such as Cheez-its, chips, and cookies. In addition to snacks being used as an incentive, I also like to have healthy snacks, including granola bars and turkey sticks, that they can eat if they are hungry.

Some of my students miss breakfast, and granola bars can give them the energy they need to focus while learning.

Lastly, the volleyball will be used during earned playtime outside. They work very hard to earn extra minutes outside, and we often play volleyball. This new volleyball will help students practice catching, throwing, and social skills while playing together outside.
