My Project

Our goal is to promote positive behavior, academic achievement, and school engagement among middle school students. WMS’s core essence is PRIDE- positivity, respect, integrity, determination, and empathy. The students work hard every day to learn and live these values. This school store would allow us to incentivize their hard work and acknowledge their growth, but more importantly, it will create innumerable opportunities for teachers to forge meaningful relationships with their students.

This store will operate on a basic “school bucks” system, where students earn “school bucks” for actions such as improvements in attendance, academic milestones, and positive behaviors that contribute to the WMS learning community.

“School bucks” can then be redeemed at the store for items like “school day coupons,” healthy snacks, small prizes, and spirit gear.

The school store will be run by a small team of student volunteers (with oversight from we four directing faculty members), encouraging leadership and responsibility. The program will foster a positive school climate, motivate students, and reinforce good habits, all while promoting school values. We humbly request grant funding to cover the initial cost of supplies, store setup, and incentives, ensuring that students will eventually have continuous access to meaningful rewards that encourage them to thrive academically and socially.
