Wild Robot class set

Help me give my students individual copies of Wild Robot for important novel study work. We will use this text to learn about plot, characters, main idea, theme and using text evidence to support ideas.

My Project

24 copies of Wild Robot would allow each student to have an individual copy to read along in class. This allows students to read along and use the text to learn important reading strategies to analyze text.

We will use this text to analyze plots including beginning, middle, end.

Students will identify problems and solutions within the plot using text evidence.

Students will conduct character analysis for main and secondary characters. They will consider physical characteristics as well as personality traits and correlate these to things that happen within the text.

Through the story, students will work to identify main ideas that lead to the overall theme of the novel.

By having their own copies of the book, students can bookmark places they find text evidence to support their ideas. As I read aloud, I will model reading fluency and they can practice following along.
