My Project

Opening a school store that highlights good citizenship and academic choices can significantly impact students' educational journey in a low socioeconomic, underrepresented school by balancing the wide range of effects that challenge students at home.

The Pawsitive Choices Store aims to encourage positive behavior, motivate students, build self-esteem, and create a community that embraces equity.

By associating rewards with good citizenship, students learn the value of responsibility and the impact of their actions on others. These rewards include a variety of snacks and fidgets. The store can lead to more responsible and conscientious behavior. By associating rewards with good citizenship, students learn the value of responsibility and the impact of their actions on others. This can lead to more responsible and conscientious behavior.

The store rewards good citizenship, encouraging students to make academically and socially positive choices. This can lead to a more respectful and supportive school environment. By providing access to rewards and recognition that might not be available outside of school, the store helps level the playing field for underrepresented students, giving them a sense of inclusion and fairness.

Students will be motivated to strive for excellence, knowing that their efforts are recognized and rewarded. This can lead to increased engagement and participation in class. Recognition and rewards can boost students' self-esteem, making them feel valued and appreciated. This is particularly important for students who might not receive such validation elsewhere.

The Pawsitive Choices Store will create community and belonging among scholars. When everyone works towards common goals and values, it strengthens the school community. Positive reinforcement of good behavior often correlates with improved academic performance. Students' academic achievements can also improve as they become more engaged and motivated.
