Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Summertime is fun time and I am wanting our Literacy Camp to be super fun for these future readers! In our camp, every student will receive daily Science of Reading instruction where outstanding teachers will provide the highly effective, engaging literacy activities all while having fun!

Summertime is reading and writing time about our environment!

Our youngest campers will absolutely love learning about wild animals and creepy, crawly insects! Then, they will be able to write interesting facts about the animals on the vibrant animal postcards. Each camper will be able to actually go on a bug hunt with their very own bug safari hats and using magnifying glasses. Then, they will be able to create their own insects with the bug stencils. Finally, our students will feel like they are in the jungle with the amazing wild decorations. Our hope is that our summer campers will be leaving with more than a smile, they will be leaving as life long readers!
