Help me give my students flexible seating options in my classroom because my classroom is full of highly energetic children who love to wiggle and move around!
In my first grade classroom, I teach the most energetic group of 17 boys and 7 girls everyday! My students have very high energy and also love to talk and collaborate with their peers. Because of all their energy, they need as many opportunities to wiggle and move around as possible! My goal is to help my students with their wiggles by replacing our traditional desks and chairs with more fun and stimulating flexible seating options, including pillows, wobble chairs, floor seats, and ball seats.
Flexible seating options in the classroom will give my students choice in the classroom every single day, which will empower them!
These seating options will also help them to get their wiggles out and allow them to move around the classroom while they work. This will also increase their brain stimulation. Finally, flexible seating options bring an element of fun to the classroom, which increases student engagement and progresses student learning.
