My first-grade students are outgoing, enthusiastic, and extremely creative! They come from a variety of backgrounds including military families from the neighboring base, and one-third of our school's students come from low-income households. Our school has been directly impacted by hurricanes, and this past year we transitioned to remote learning along with most of our country. This year we started under plan B as a hybrid classroom. One cohort was virtual only and we met virtually two days a week and the other cohort came to school two days a week for face to face instruction. The other three days they were learning remotely. In November our county when to a modified plan A, so we now have a new group and our whole class comes for face to face instruction four days a week and we have one remote learning day. We don't know for sure what the rest of this year may hold, but whether it's in person or virtual I know our students will continue to learn and soar!

My Project
Despite the pandemic, we have been able to utilize most of our flexible seating options! Whether they need to roll, wobble, or bounce while they learn we're making it happen. However, this year we have quite a few who prefer the traditional seat, but need a little something extra. The kick bands are great, but we need a few more options to use with our traditional chairs. These Wiggle Wobble sets and mats will be the perfect solution!
Flex seating has been a blessing in our classroom where every student can find a space where they can learn and perform to the best of their ability.
We want to enable each student to have a flexible seating option. With your help we can make this possible by adding there Wiggle Wobble sets and mats that students can use while wiggle wobbling their way to success!
