Help me give my students wobble chairs to use for flexible seating and multi-colored neon trays to organize and store our hands-on learning activities.
My Kindergarten students are energetic, fun-loving, and ready to learn. For some students, this is their first time in a school-type setting and their first time interacting with a large group of other children.
My students are filled with curiosity, energy, and excitement as they come to school ready to leap into new challenges.
Each child loves to learn, but they each have unique needs that need to be met in order to thrive.
My Project
The materials I have requested will help my students learn in a way that fits their needs. Wobble stools allow students to sit comfortably at a group or table while providing an outlet for extra energy. A flexible seating option where students are allowed to choose the environment in which they learn best is beneficial to both their academic and social emotional learning. The colorful tubs will help organize our math and literacy materials so students can independently access materials that align with their specific learning goals. With these tubs, activities can be color-coded and personalized so students can easily identify which tub contains an activity that fits their needs.
By donating to our project, you will help my students remain focused and attentive, which will ultimately contribute to increased academic achievement.
Flexible seating and an organized area for hands-on learning materials that align with the Nevada Academic Content Standards, will allow my students be comfortable and successful independent learners.
The pandemic caused many of my students to miss preschool, a place where children learn basic social skills and develop fine motor skills through play and hands-on activities. As a result, my first-time students are learning how to listen attentively, share, work cooperatively with peers and adults, and build a classroom community (SS.K.1). These materials will help my kindergarteners achieve their academic and social goals.
