Wiggling into Science: Exploring Life Through Earthworm Dissection
Help me give my students earthworms and dissecting trays that will provide a hands-on learning experience that deepens their understanding of biology and anatomy.
My current 5th grades students have had several learning challenges from Covid. They have exhibited resiliency, adaptability, and an appreciation for in-person learning. My 5th-grade students thoroughly enjoy hands-on learning. Through hands-on activities, students are more engaged in their learning, they have a renewed sense of curiosity, and their learning becomes more memorable.
I am requesting items for each student to dissect an earthworm.
The items I am needing are earthworms and dissecting trays. Through dissecting earthworms, they will engage in a hands-on learning experience about anatomy, biology, and scientific observation. The ultimate goal of this activity is to foster a deeper understanding of living organisms and to promote critical thinking skills.
I am also requesting an electric pencil sharpener for my students. Having a reliable pencil sharpener ensures that students always have access to sharp pencils which promote efficient and neat handwriting. This will also support a conducive learning environment.
Lastly, I am requesting a USB Speaker. The speaker facilitates audio-enhanced learning through multimedia presentations.
