My Students
My students are amazing kids who face many challenges both at home and at school. My students all have various disabilities, but they don't let their disabilities hold them back.
All of my students are unique, but one thing is the same in each of them: they love to learn!
My students come from a variety of backgrounds and face many challenges before even entering our school. We work together every day to overcome those challenges and reach new heights. I work with about 75 special education students every week, reaching kids with various disabilities. My students love to move, explore and play.
My Project
My students are amazing and they are wiggly and they are amazingly wiggly! Sometimes, their wiggling can get in the way of their learning if they don't have the right outlet for these wiggles. Many of my students have disabilities such as ADHD and Autism, which means that they engage in the classroom differently than their peers. The wiggle stools will allow my students to sit at their desks, focusing on their work, while still being able to wiggle. The bouncy bands will be placed on my student's chairs which will let them move their feet while remaining in their seats to learn. Fidgets and chewy necklaces will allow my students who need a little extra sensory stimulation to chew and move as they each individually need.
With these Bouncy Bands, wiggle stools and sensory tools, my unique students will be able to read, write, listen, move and work together, without being distracted by their need for movement.
My students will no longer be distracted by their need for movement and instead, they will be able to wiggle and learn at the same time, all because of their new tools. Those students who are overly distracted needing to wiggle, including my students with ADHD and Autism, will have the tools they need to succeed.
