Students in second-grade wiggle! Movement that is natural gets in the way of focusing on learning, which is why my students need options for their seating.
My second graders have persisted and continued to take on new challenges even as the difficult school year continues for us.
They have been curious, thoughtful, and respectful to their classmates and teachers. We need alternative seating to help build our stamina!
Also having a variety of media to use in writing will help to motivate my students to continue their own personal growth this year.
My Project
Think about how often you move when focused on a project! Maybe you stand up to stretch, maybe you shake your legs, or maybe you need to lay down.
Giving my students the opportunity for movement at their desks while building their writing stamina will help students build confidence in their writing skills, while receiving the movement their little bodies need to focus.
Seat cushions and appropriate writing accessories will help students focus their minds and bodies. I can't wait to see their imaginations come to life! Thank you kindly!
