Wiggles and Wobbles Make Our Learning Unstoppable!
My students need an interactive space to learn. These tables, wiggle stools, and lap desks allows students who have trouble learning in traditional desks to choose the best seating for them to reach their goals!
When walking through the doors of my first grade classroom, a visitor sees a group of fun-loving, friendly first graders. Although my students come from all walks of life, their kindness and spirit can be seen at first glance. Every time the door is opened, the students are sure to greet our visitor with shouts of "hey" and never-ending hugs. Along with this friendly spirit, comes an active group of students. They love learning through exploration and many activities.
My students learn best when wiggling, moving, and grooving around class!
They enjoy participating in hands-on and interactive experiences that gives them a purpose for learning. My students are a very compassionate, hard-working group of first graders!
My Project
Sometimes the traditional way of learning is not always the best way for students to learn. As we learn how our students learn best, we adapt our way of teaching in order for them to grow and reach their goals.
Just as we adapt our teaching style to our students needs, we must also adapt our classrooms.
A classroom design consisting of flexible seating would greatly enhance my students' learning. Since not all students learn best at a traditional desks, having the options to sit on the floor, on a wiggle stool, or near a lowered table could increase my students' concentration, productivity, and overall learning.
