Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
HELLO! I am a first grade teacher at a low income school in North Carolina. Our school is comprised of a large population of English as a Second Language (ESL) students. Our students are wonderful, cooperative, and WIGGLY!!!!
Our 'wiggle worms' are cute, but they need recess everyday to let their wiggles out so they are ready to work and learn for the rest of the day.
We recently had a 10 day span of rainy weather. That was a long time for our students to go without recess. We have 2 kid exercise videos in our library at school, but we have over 700 students. It is very hard to share those 2 exercise videos!
In this proposal, I am asking for several copies of Swamp Stomp, a kid exercise video. It is completely kid oriented, grabs their attention, and most importantly, lets children get their wiggles out. I am also asking for 3 other kid exercise videos (2 of each), so that we will have a variety and can share within the school.
These exercise videos will be extremely popular with all of the classes at our school when it is rainy or too cold to go outside. Our students will get their wiggles out and they will get exercise at the same time. Who could ask for more?
