Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are little wiggle worms and they need help to focus on class lessons.
I teach 21 wonderful first grade students in the California Bay Area.
My students come from poverty but they don't let that stop them. This year I have 2 students who have extreme difficulty sitting still during lessons. They are constantly moving around, laying on top of their desks, and leaning back in their chairs.
My class spends a large amount of time sitting on the carpet during lessons. I have found that my 2 wiggle worms actually do better sitting at their desks instead of the floor. At their desks they are able to move around without distracting the students around them.
My Project
I am asking for 2 Hokki stools to help my little wiggle worms focus their energy and be able to focus on their lessons. These stools will force the students to use their core and will give them a safe way to wiggle around but the seat keeps the child from falling off.
These stools will help my students to have a safe way to wiggle.
These stools will help them to focus and I won't need to worry about them learning back in a chair and falling. Thank you so much for helping my little wiggle worms!
