My Students

I teach at a Title 1 school in Western North Carolina where 85% of students receive reduced or free breakfast and lunch. My students are faced with challenges both in and out of the classroom.

Students need a conducive environment where they feel comfortable and ready to learn.

Trying to find ways to keep my students engaged and learning can at times be difficult as many students have a hard time staying seated. Flexible seating options are one way to keep student focused and ready to learn.

My Project

The four stools requested for my project will be used to help those students who have a hard time sitting still. This will give them a more comfortable seating option so they can focus on their work. The table requested will help me meet the needs of these students in a small group environment.

These stools and table will also allow for less disruptions for students who are at times disruptive in a regular seat environment.

These items will help create a fantastic learning environment for my awesome 2nd graders.

Adding these items to our classroom will be a welcome addition. We are super excited to reach our goal!
