My second grade students embrace life. I love to give them opportunities to enhance their learning.
They still have the wonder and curiosity that makes teaching them such a pleasure, but they are beginning to comprehend and empathize on a much deeper level.
They are growing each day and need lots of time to socialize and dialog with peers to understand concepts that they are being taught. The best way to facilitate this need is through small groups.
My Project
Children learn best if they are allowed free movement of their bodies while they are busy investigating and discovering new concepts. Due to Co-vid, students will be unable to move as openly through the day as they have been able to in the past.
These wobble seats, designed with students in mind, will enable the students to move, while keeping them a safe distance from each other.
I plan to use these wobble seats in a small group setting, allowing kids to move, but providing them with their individual space.
