My Students

This school year, I have a group of first grade students that are very wiggly! I have students who have sensory needs and stimulation to keep their attention on an academic task. Physical activity and movement are important parts of learning as they help students to learn through doing and help them to be active learners. I have multiple students who need breaks throughout the school day for movement breaks.

Having flexible seating, such as wobble stools, would allow for movement breaks while keeping all students in the classroom to increase engagement while providing much needed stimulation.

Flexible seating would allow for my students to access the general education curriculum and be more successful as they would be able to spend more time in the classroom, paying attention to instruction.

My Project

Our classroom successfully funded our first project for six wobble stools and 5 soft seats with your generous support. All of our students are eagerly awaiting our first delivery!

Wobble stools will allow our students to pay attention while learning as they are able to increase their movement and therefore increase engagement.

Movement in the classroom is very important because it allows for students to release energy appropriately and attend to the academic tasks. Having six more wobble stools in our classroom will allow for 26 students to access flexible seating on a daily basis.
