Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our 2nd grade ICT classroom is a vibrant learning community where every student deserves a chance to learn in a way that works for them. Our Title 1 school serves a diverse group of students, including many who are English language learners (ENL) and students with disabilities (SWD).

To help our students feel comfortable, engaged, and ready to learn, we’re requesting flexible seating and sensory tools that will create a more inclusive classroom.

Items like bouncy bands, yoga ball chairs, soft floor cushions, and ottoman benches will provide different seating choices to support the focus and movement needs of our class community. Sensory toys, timers and fidget tools will help calm anxious minds and regulate energy levels.

With these resources, our classroom will become a space where students can wiggle, wobble, and find the seating that best supports their learning journey. Thank you for helping us create an environment that celebrates every learner!
