This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
It's so hard for 5 year olds to sit still to pay attention and do their work. Kindergarten nowadays requires so much academics, and the kids really have a lot to learn.
My school is a small, Title I school where a lot of my students qualify for the reduced price or free lunch program.
Many students come from diverse cultural backgrounds. Most are English language learners, speaking English as their second language. My Kindergarten students come to school eager to learn each day.
My Project
These wobble cushions will allow my young students to wiggle around a bit while sitting on their chairs. With 10 cushions, I would be able to use them during the small group time and have a couple extras for my students who need one at their seats too. Many people testified that these cushions helped kids with ADHD qualities to focus better to do their work. I've had many students who could not sit still for very long every single year, and these will definitely benefit those students.
I'm excited to be able to provide another great learning tool for my students.
