This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Who hasn't ever had a case of the wiggles? In a classroom of 3rd graders, it happens as often as you might expect. So we incorporate brain and movement breaks throughout the day to help us focus on our lessons. We also use kick bands on our chair legs to help with self-regulation and improve concentration.
One more step towards improving focus is Wiggle Wobble Chair Feet!
We currently have two sets but other students have expressed interest in using them. They are a great way to inexpensively transform our chairs into wobble chairs that will not only improve posture but additionally allow students to channel any excess energy and increase time on task. My awesome students would benefit from another tool to help them achieve their potential. Help my students continue to read with enthusiasm, discuss with thoughtfulness, solve problems with accuracy, and collaborate with respect!
