My Students

My students have special needs ranging from health issues to learning disabilities to emotional disabilities. They receive services in my room and in their classroom. For many of them, my room is their safe space and it needs to welcoming to them.

These kiddos may learn differently, but they have a passion for learning.

My students need the ability to move around while learning. They learn better when they are active and movement is involved. Their faces light up when their environment is set up in a way to help them learn best.

My Project

I teach kindergarten through second grade special education students. These children have all kinds of needs ranging from specific learning disabilities to health impairments to emotional disabilities. These needs mean that my students learn differently.

Many of my students need to move constantly and wobble stools allow them to do that.

They can sit for tests and be able to wiggle if they are anxious without anyone else noticing. Others may need to wiggle because of frustration or in order to focus. Wiggle stools will give my students a chair that allows them to move the way they need to in order to learn best.
