Help me give my students 3 Flex-Space Wobble Chairs as part of flexible seating!
This project expired on November 17, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Our school's motto is "Reach For The Stars" which describes how our students strive for excellence every single day. They work hard, help each other to succeed, and motivate everyone to preform at their very best. In this class, we have a sense of family and we pride ourselves in our positive classroom environment. My students genuinely care about one another which makes being their teacher even more special.
My students are respectful, dedicated and persevere through the obstacles of being a fifth grade student.
They love to work in groups, play Kahoot! and try new activities. They are looking forward to the challenges and excitement that middle school has to offer.
Flexible seating allows for students to have a choice in where they sit in order for them to perform at their best. Having multiple seating options promotes a commitment to learning, as well as physical health. Students need to be able to move around, wobble, bounce, stand and lean because it helps the flow of oxygen throughout their body reach their brain. Flexible seating also helps students stay focused and alert throughout the day. I have noticed my students are more engaged in their independent and group work when they are given a choice of of where to sit.
I love these wobble stools because they allow the student to put their energy into wobbling rather than fidgeting with their hands, feet, pencil, etc.
I have seen these stools effectively used in other classrooms so I know first-hand the impact they have on little minds. The students enjoy these stools because it allows them to move around without leaving their seat. These stools will be an amazing addition to our flexible seating classroom environment!
