This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year I am teaching two 6th grade math intervention classes. I adore these students and they have a great attitude for learning! Each class averages 20 students with about 5-8 students having an IEP. I noticed that my 6th graders are a little fidgety and have a hard time sitting in traditional desk chairs. I currently have 4 wobbly chairs and 2 rocking chairs, but that is not enough.
Transforming my chairs to wobbly chairs would be beneficial for my students.
Bouncybands provides quiet and simple solutions to transform a desk chair into a wobbly chair. Students will be able to bounce their feet a little on a bouncy band or wiggle in their chairs without causing a lot of distractions. In addition, having a popsocket on a few desks will provide a silent fidget tool for students to regain focus.
