My Students

I teach in a very diverse school. We have students that come from well-off families to students that face many challenges. We also have a large population of students that English is their second language. One thing they all have in common is their eagerness to be successful learners.

I strive to provide an environment where all my students can be successful.

Many of my students are incredibly active, as well as struggling to stay focused during the day. These are challenges I need to overcome to help them be successful in their learning.

My Project

The flexible seating options that were chosen for my room will support all of my students. Many students come to school filled with energy and struggle to manage it in a positive way. The different types of seating chosen will help student release this energy in a positive way.

My students love the flexible seating but there is not enough for everyone.

I love providing my students choice in their education. Having an assortment of flexible seating in my room allows them to choose the chair that best meets their learning needs. This might mean a chair that wiggles to release energy or a cozy one to get lost in a good book with.
