Help me give my students two wobble chairs, phonics pop its, reading games, books and Play-Doh to help increase learning motivation and movement in our classroom.
Kindergarten is a pivotal time in a child's life where they begin to explore the world beyond their immediate family. It's where they lay the foundation for their educational journey and develop essential social, emotional, and cognitive skills. From learning to share and take turns to recognizing letters and numbers, every day is filled with new discoveries and opportunities for growth. Plus, the nurturing environment of kindergarten sets the stage for a lifetime of learning and curiosity. It's truly a special place where young minds blossom!
Incorporating fun and engaging learning tools can make a significant difference in motivating students, especially kindergarteners who are naturally full of energy and movement.
The wobble chairs will help students focus and stay on task as they will still be able to sit while gently swaying or rocking. The Play-Doh and tools will help build fine motor skills needed for holding writing tools and for completing basic everyday life skills like buttoning, tying, and zipping a variety things and tasks. The books will help young learners to be respectful and responsible for classroom materials like pencils, glue, and chairs. The phonics pop-its and connecting pop-its will allow students to learn to read based on the science of reading learning method. It will promote learning sounds in words, letters, and blending sounds to read words through hands-on activities. The name plates will help students learn to read and write their names as well as math and literacy. The floor stickers are essential in kindergarten because students are able to learn numbers as well as how to line up in a line without pushing and shoving.
