I teach a Special Education classroom full of unique individuals who bring joy and laughter to not only myself but also those around them.
These students are vibrant and should be allowed to have the opportunity to accomplish what they set out to do!
Each student has there own educational goals but for the most part they all have a case of the "wiggles". Please help them get their wiggles out with Flexible Seating.
Our town is a small rural town in Maine with high poverty.
My Project
By offering students a flexible seating option, the students' wiggle needs will be met. My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work.
The Wobble Chairs are versatile and can be used in different locations around the room; whether that means at a desk, table, or simply in the middle of the room with a clipboard.
By allowing students to work around the classroom, they are able to choose a location where they can best focus. These chairs will act as a focus tool for many of the Special Education students.
