My students are a group of enthusiastic learners! My math, STEM and science classroom is filled with creativity and problem solving. In order to foster growth in these areas, our classroom needs flexible seating to enhance the learning.
My goal is to create a warm and inviting space for my students to learn and grow by offering flexible seating.
My students are an energetic group that need the opportunity to have flexible seating. The students are a group of diverse sixth graders from a suburban school containing approximately nine hundred students. These students sit in hard chairs all day! I envision a classroom where they can choose a seat on the floor with a lap desk, exchange their existing chair for an alternative one or stretch their legs in the back of the room at a standing desk. The one thing I wish more than anything is to make learning fun and exciting for them and flexible seating will help me do that!
My Project
In our classroom, we are moving away from the traditional seating. I would like stools that will help inspire students to create, explore and share. Students are learning and sharing in different ways and the classroom environment needs to change. The needs of students are different and the classroom furniture should reflect the changing needs of students. Allowing for different seating will help students be engaged longer and learn better and share more.
Your donation will make a difference in the lives of students who struggle to sit still and those who need a non-traditional alternative to be successful.
Your donation will help the physical set up of the classroom meet the new way of teaching.
