My students are thoughtful, compassionate, and so excited to learn! My classroom is made up of a diverse group of first graders. As a new teacher I strive to provide the materials for each one of my unique students.
Watching my students learn to work together and find creative solutions amazes me every day!
From the moment our day starts I try to create a positive environment where my students want to learn and grow. School is more than learning math and literacy. It is also where they are learning kindness, manners, and so much more. Amazed by my students, I want to provide my students with the tools to help them succeed in every way possible!
My Project
Imagine walking into a coffee shop and finding a seat that you will be comfortable in. Flexible seating in a classroom is just like that! Students are able to select a seat that they feel will work best for them. Research shows that many students perform better and are more focused compared to sitting in traditional desks.
This year I was able to provide my students with different seating options and have seen amazing benefits.
Unfortunately, the wobble chairs are a little pricey. Wobble chairs will provide my active students a seat that will allow them to move around while still being able to do their best work. The floor seats are great for my students who like to kneel or cross their legs while they work. As an educator, I am constantly looking for ways to better the environment that my students learn in. My students give so much and I would love to be able to give back to them!
