Students in my Kindergarten classroom come to school excited about learning. Most of my students come from low-income families, and all the students at my school receive free breakfast and lunch. This background can mean that students’ families cannot afford to purchase needed school supplies. Unfortunately, some of the students are experiencing homelessness, which can mean that they lack items to meet their most basic needs.
My students deserve to receive the best education possible so that they are able to succeed in school and in life.
These boys and girls have such awesome attitudes, and they try their best every day!
My Project
My Kindergarten students are energetic five and six year old children. They love to wiggle, which causes them to constantly tip their chairs. Most of the time, they do not even realize that they are doing this. It is distracting and unsafe, since they often tip their chairs completely over and fall out of their seats.
I am requesting two wobble chairs, which are awesome stools that are made with curved bottoms that allow the students to safely wiggle and tip a little.
Since young children are naturally full of energy, these awesome seats are perfect for my students. They allow them to move while they are learning, which will increase their focus.
