My students are such a joy! They love coming to school. We are a group that wants to learn but finds some challenges along the way. Many of us of have some difficulty with focusing and staying on task. There is so much potential in them but they are struggling to harness that extra energy. I am striving to find ways to help them achieve their full potential. This is why I am designing a classroom that meets the needs of all learners. My students deserve to have the best learning environment possible. They face so many obstacles to learning outside of school I want to provide the tools they need to be successful in school.
We are first graders that love learning!
Our school is a Title I school where most students qualify for free/reduced lunch. Many of us live in low income housing with little or no opportunity to find a quiet place to learn.Today's students need to learn to think creatively, and develop a love of learning. With limited resources in a Title I classroom there are no funds for going that extra mile. Donorschoose.org allows me the opportunity to do just that!
First grade students often lack the ability to be still. They learn much more easily if allowed movement. Curriculum content is so rigorous for these little ones they need to be able to fidget. I will use these stools at my small group tables or for individual students that need alternative seating.
My students have little opportunity in their home life to go outside and play.
This stool not only allows them to wiggle while they learn but provides some core building and balance that will improve their focusing skills.
Please help my little ones have the materials they need for successful learning!
