Help me give my students a way to personalize their learning by choosing the way they feel most comfortable! By donating funds toward wobble stools and wiggle cushions, my students will have opportunities to wiggle while they work.
My kindergarten students are excited and eager to be at school each day! Our school is a Title I school and one-third of the students qualify for free or reduced lunch.
Being in kindergarten, this is many of their first time being exposed to school.
The desire they have to learn and explore is so exciting! I want each and every one of them to love school and learning and look back on their kindergarten school year with fond memories.
These kids are the future. They are are amazing young learners that will change the world if we believe in them!
My Project
Sitting in traditional chairs at tables works well for some students, but other students need options for how they feel most comfortable to learn. Schools are transitioning to flexible seating in order to better meet the needs of their students, and that is something I want to be a part of. Each and every one of my students has ideas to contribute to our school day. I want each of them to feel comfortable and productive.
Flexible seating options can improve student engagement.
With 6 Active Kids Wobble Chairs and 6 Therapist's Choice Stability Balance Discs I will be able to offer different seating options to half my class daily. I plan on alternating each day so that all my students get a chance to utilize the materials and explore how they feel most comfortable learning. By providing students with choices and options, they are better able to personalize their learning and therefore learn to make choices that help them thrive with their education.
