This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from Sacramento, California. Each day they face many challenges because they live in a lower-socioeconomic area which is richly diverse with many cultures and ethnicities. When my students enter my classroom, I want to provide them with an environment that is creative, stimulating, and safe.

My students enter class smiling each morning ready to explore new and exciting worlds.

Many students in my classroom come in saying they have difficulty completing assignments at home because of lack of places to complete their work.

My Project

Remember sitting in the same seat all day in class? Well, I am providing alternative seating throughout my class and these wobble chairs will provide students of all learning levels a chance to learn while moving their bodies. Many students can not sit still in the traditional manner, so giving them a chance to get the wiggles out while helping them focus improves their learning. Please think about how much movement and learning go hand in hand. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement!
