Wiggle Stools for Focused First Graders

Help me give my students 3 wobble stools, 6 wobble seats, and wobble bands to help them improve their focus, by allowing them to rock and sway while learning.

My Project

Our first-grade classrooms are diverse in culture and rich in learning. Our day involves whole groups, small groups, and independent learning. Students are challenged daily with engaging activities for every child's unique learning style. My students enjoy the opportunity to work with peers and utilize flexible seating.

Giving students an opportunity to wobble and rock, with flexible seating, allows students to remain engaged and focused, allowing them to take control over their own learning.

By adding wobble stools students are able to make choices on where they will be most successful.

The three first-grade classrooms have around 20 students. All of our students come from different backgrounds and have varying cognitive and emotional needs. My hope is to provide them with the best learning environment and tools to be successful.
