Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My first and second graders are energetic, creative, kind, gentle, compassionate scholars. They are enthusiastic learners that are ready to lend a hand and lead with kindness. They practice and live the 7 Habits.
My students understand that everyone is different and that is why everyone is special.
There is so much we can learn from one another. As a team, we can and will accomplish so much more. Since we are all so different, our learning style also differs as well. My kiddos would benefit from alternative seating so they can be more comfortable and be able to focus better. They would also benefit from Chromebooks that will allow them to access a variety of computer programs that easily differentiates their reading, mathematics, writing, and research abilities.
I am so lucky to have them as my students this year. These hard- working enthusiastic learners are our future and what better way to invest in our future.
My Project
The flexible seating items and Chromebooks will allow students to learn in a more fun environment and foster their growth in language arts, math, science, etc.
The flexible seating materials such as seat bands, inflatable seat cushion, and yoga ball seats will allow my students to be more comfortable and focused while they learn.
The Chromebooks will help students enhance their learning and share their knowledge with others. For example, it will allow them to read passages at their reading level solve math problems at their own skill level, complete research, type reports, create slideshows, make a movie to document what they learned, etc.
With all these items, students' learning will definitely sky rocket and the possibilities for growth are endless!
