This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My Kindergarten Students are full of joy, love, and excitement! They come to school ready to learn with a smile on all of their beautiful faces! All of my students are English Language Learners who come from unique backgrounds. Some have limited English, some struggle with poverty, some are refugees, and most are or are born from recent immigrants.

The challenges that my students may face at home are apart of who they are; but more so, they are talented, diverse, capable, strong, and inspiring individuals!

Despite coming from hardships, my students put forth their best effort to learn. They stay positive when learning something new or difficult. They try their best to stay focused on their tasks despite possibly being tired or hungry. They help each other learn and become successful, despite needing help themselves. These students deserve the best educational experience I can give them!

My Project

Having a flexible seating option in a kindergarten classroom is a way to meet the needs of unique learners. In my classroom I have students who not only are English Language Learners, who not only live among poverty, hunger and hardships, but who all learn differently. Some students need space, some students need to stand, some students need sensory input to focus, some need the freedom to constantly move.

The items of this project will ensure the success of my students, learning and focus!

Kore Wobble chairs help them focus in large group learning. Kore Wobble chairs and balance ball seating help them focus on their work when their body needs to move. When their little bodies are in motion, their brains can stay engaged.

Gone are the days when students should be thinking about and focused on sitting still and silent, now is the time for students to be free to move about in order to concentrate on the learning that is most important!
