My Project
I work with an amazing group of students! They are an incredibly diverse group, with 50% being English language learners. They are entering the classroom with a wealth of knowledge and unique experiences. This group is full of kind, thoughtful, curious, and highly motivated scholars who are eager to learn more about themselves and the world around them.
My students, who have become excellent self-advocates, have been asking for wiggle cushions to help them focus on their learning.
Movement is so important, and for many, it can facilitate their engagement and concentration.
This project aims to get wiggle cushions for my students, as well as fidgets to help them focus on their learning and calm down when escalated. Students learn in many different ways, and it is so important that our classroom honors those differences!
