Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Sitting still and focusing is difficult even for adults, now imagine 3-5 year olds! Having flexible seating options that are available to all students allows them to find the ways that help them calm their body and focus starting right away at a young age!
By teaching children what helps calm and focus their bodies from a young age it enables them to understand their learning style and can only benefit their educational experience.
These options will allow students four different seating methods during our circle times, and will also be available throughout the day during centers and small groups. The storage container will be used to hold some of the flexible seating options while they are not in use, and the others will be spread throughout the centers so they can be used during center time as well.
