My Students

Our Title I school serves a 100% military population. We are a very transient school, with families frequently moving in and out of the state and country. Our students often have one parent deployed or away working with the military.

Our students are excited about ​school and have an innate need to learn all that they can absorb.

They come to school each day excited about what amazing things they will learn that day and wondering what interesting activities they will participate in. We endeavor to make school feel like a second home.

My Project

First graders are so wiggly! They constantly need movement. If they aren't running across the room, they are falling out of chairs. The need to move distracts us from our learning.

With these stools, will be able to wiggle while we spell our words, rotate while we read, and wobble while we solve math problems.

Active seating makes going to the teacher table more enjoyable and learning more fun. The more excited we are to go to the teacher table, the more we will learn and grow.
