My Students

Remember when you were a third grader? Were you that kid who always had to move? It was hard for you to sit in your desk all day long. If not, you surely remember those kids who were constantly on the go. My 24 energetic, and spontaneous third grade students walk into the classroom every day full of life, eager to learn, and excited each day for what is in store for them. I want to make my classroom a comfortable, inviting, and exciting space for them. In our classroom we are a family, we work together, and we care about each other. Our school is in a small, close-knit community.

My school's vision statement challenges me to provide the highest quality personalized educational experience.

Flexible seating and being able to wiggle while learning is very important in order to make sure the students have the best opportunity to learn. My classroom is an energetic thriving community. With Hokki stools, my students will be more active while learning, engaged, and it will improve overall academic achievement.

My Project

Right now in our classroom, we only have chairs. So, giving students different seating options will help them learn and become successful students.

Allowing flexible seating options will provide choices for my students, which I believe will increase their motivation and overall engagement in the classroom.

Hokki stools will provide flexible seating options for my students at the teacher table where I conduct small group lessons on a daily basis. All students in my class will have an opportunity to utilize these seats. The Hokki stools will provide my students the ability to focus while also being able to move around and not become restless. Providing flexible seating would help all students wiggle while they work in a safe way.
