Help me give my students portable lap desks and chair balls with feet to be able to sit in various places in our classroom. These will be able to give them options while doing different learning activities.
First graders are always beaming with pride and energy. The students who are in my classroom are always ready to learn. They take on new learning with zest. They are like sponges who want to absorb all that they can while they are in the classroom.
The children love having options in their day and these options help them feel like they have ownership over their education.
Centers and flexible seating allow for them to have these choices in their school life on a daily basis.
My Project
Students will be able to use the portable lapdesks to write on during centers and writing time. They will be able to use the chair balls all day long and be able to have a choice in what seats work for them. Students will be able to choose seat cushions that work for them as well. Cushions can be used on chairs or on the floor.
The options that students will have for seating will help them be able to use materials that work for their learning.
Having a variety of these in classroom is important for all students to have their needs met.
