Help me give my students s these wobble stools and the bands for their chair so they can bounce their feet all they want without kicking their neighbor.
My students walk into our classroom full of life every morning, ready to learn, and eager to know what new things we will learn about today. I teach my class in mostly small groups so the students have a lot of responsibility in their own education. They have ownership of what they learn everyday.
I teach in a Title I school in Florida where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Despite their hardships, my students are eager to learn and they love coming to school. They want to learn and be a part of our family. They feel confident and successful in our class. They know even at this early age that their education is their ticket to a better life.
My Project
It is very hard for 8-year-olds to sit still for any length of time. They're swinging their feet, they're rocking their chairs, they're sitting on their feet, and they're leaning back in their chairs.
I believe that flexible seating will help my students to concentrate on their work and not be quite so fidgety in their seats.
If they're comfortable in their seats that they will concentrate on their work more.
I want to make the learning experience good for them. I don't want them being uncomfortable in their seats and not paying attention to their lessons. If they're not so busy fidgeted and trying to be comfortable I believe they will learn better.
