Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students at my school have so little and I want to give them so much more. All of the students here come from homes below the poverty line, and I want them to have the chance to experience something that can influence their lives.

Our kids are so special that even without the resources, they still work just as hard or harder to try and rise to the occasion.

I love the fact that our kids already know the odds are stacked against them, but they face adversity head-on!

My Project

In our Physical Education class we will be looking to host a building-wide wiffle ball tournament. The was insanely popular last year and we plan on doing an even bigger and better tournament this year.

Students absolutely love our Wiffle Ball Unit and they look forward to creating their own teams and tracking the standings.

It certainly generates a lot of buzz around the building. The pull cart will come in handy as we can transport all of our materials such as the bats, balls, bases, and the batting tee.
