This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These monitors will make working on the finer details of curriculum and software programs in Geometry, Credit Recovery, Broadcast, and Yearbook so much easier. We are currently using 12” Chromebooks in class and at home. We also are using some older 15” monitors at workstations around the room if they are open.
These monitors will allow a much larger workspace to be able to open up pictures and videos while at the same time keeping the workspace open to making edits and changes.
Rather than squinting and being hunched over their small Chromebook screen, the students will be able to see a larger and more clear workspace to create and work from.
These monitors will be attached to a sit/stand desk and will help to create a more safe and healthy learning space to work from. Not only will students be able to see their work in greater detail, but the monitors will allow my students to work more quickly and more efficiently.
These monitors will allow more dual-screen workstation setups around the room. Learning to work with this tech setup may prove to be a useful skill for their future career. These workstations allow for more students to work together in a team setting and multi-task together. Learning to work in groups and communicate are essential skills needed for students transitioning up to high school and then later into the workforce.
