A fulfilling life is one rich with challenges. This is how we reach our greatest potential. My curriculum is filled with opportunities to challenge all achievement groups, collaborate and designed to develop independent learners.
I am at a school with the ultimate educational setting.
The environment of the campus is ever- improving. As a graduate of this school, I am proud of the learning environment and support for students. The programs implemented in the last ten years has truly changed the culture. Lawn areas have been transformed into edible gardens, complete with an amphitheater and stage. Homework Lab and Small Learning Communities are in place to ensure no students progress or lack of progress is unseen. Clusters for juniors and seniors direct students pathways aiding in post secondary exploration. The possibilities for faculty and students are endless. I am proud to be part of this phenomenal school and community.
Casa Grande is a very diverse school, students understand expectations and can thrive if open to opportunities provided.
My Project
I envision my students confidently presenting remotely while engaging and informing their audience (using the wireless track pad) based on a project guidelines from "20Time Project" book. Instead of regurgitating facts students are learning to become wicked problem solvers. Based on a Google company idea, to give their employees 20% allotted working time and allow their employees to follow their creative/innovative ideas.
I envision my students taking on this challenge. Giving students the time to create a project with purpose and value. A project that is student driven.
I envision students adapting to a more mobile environment and in need of supplies which allow students the flexibility to do so.
We ask our students to take chances and be willing to take risks and as educators we must model by introducing new concepts and projects year after year.
Being able to provide the tools necessary so students have the means to reach expectations is so exciting!
