Wibbly-Wobbly Kindergarteners

My students need the stools that I am requesting already have a home in our classroom. These wobble stools will help my students channel their energy into doing their work while still being able to move.

My Students

My average classroom ranges from 20-24 students per year. I work in a school district that has been classified as a Title I school. I have been teaching since 1990 and I am an ATPE member. My students come from a variety of home environments. Some come from well-rounded families, where others come from very broken homes and families. I teach many children with learning disabilities that range from those with ADD, ADHD, autism, etc. There are daily situations where I have to make special accommodations for my students. Most times this doesn't have an effect on the class. Donations to this project are greatly appreciated. My students, including myself, will be forever grateful for your generosity.

My Project

The stools that I am requesting already have a home in our classroom. These wobble stools will help my students channel their energy into doing their work while still being able to move and get their energy out.

I also plan to add yoga balls, yoga mats, and crate seats to my classroom.

I hope to see amazing changes in classroom behavior as a result of allowing flexible seating because I have many students who need to move. I feel like these wobble stools will allow for even more students to do their work while getting their energy out.

My project will make a difference, because, as I said before, these students need to be able to move, and wiggle to do their very best work. My kindergarteners work very hard throughout their school day, and sometimes, they just have some wiggles that they need to get out.
