My students are full of energy, enthusiasm, a love of learning, and potential. They are curious, motivated, and love learning new things, especially when technology is incorporated. I teach in a Special Education Resource Room for students in grades K-5. My classroom is a safe place for these students to learn. It is the place that allows them to build their confidence and find their strengths.
My students work each day to overcome obstacles and face challenges head on.
My students are our future and they come from various home environments, therefore, it is my responsibility to make their learning environment a positive place for them to become the best people they can be. The students that enter my classroom are at various academic levels, but always strive to do their best.
My Project
Seating choices in a classroom have been proven to improve students' attention and focus. Children learn the most when they are comfortable and relaxed. Research shows that children need to be able to move and get the wiggles out during the day in order to be comfortable. These seats would allow for movement in the classroom without disrupting learning in the small group atmosphere.
The Kore Wobble Seats would enable my students to continue learning, increase focus, and move all at the same time.
The more my students can wiggle and move, the more likely they are to stay focused on the tasks at hand, thus increasing learning, and ultimately increasing self-confidence.
