This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Bronx Youth know what the Bronx needs and deserves! Let's give all the flowers to Bronx Youth who will join 30 years of Local Community Organizing to bring the Kingsbridge Armory into the hands of the people.
Through site visits, community outreach, studying models, and engaging in the community's vision, our Bronx Youth have created their own plans for development of the Kingsbridge Armory!
Let's follow their lead!
On March 30th, Youth will present their recommendations to the New York Economic Development Corporation, The New York City Council, The Northwest Bronx Community and Clergy Coalition, and the Bronx Cooperative Development Initiative. This is a huge deal for our Youth to be heard by the City and the organization that will create the Request for Proposals for the future developer of the Kingsbridge Armory.
We need your support to bring nourishment and recognition awards to those students who will stand and deliver their visions for their Bronx Kingsbridge Armory!
The Youth know what's up! Let's send them some love and care packages for standing up and joining the effort to bring the Kingsbridge Armory home.
