Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Being a special education teacher, my students rely on all the methods of learning. Tactile items such as magnetic letters and numbers help the students retain the shape in their head. While we do a lot of audio and visual learning, I am limited on tactile supplies. We use visuals such as the Dot books to help learn emotions and feelings.

All students should have access to materials that suit all learning styles.

I additionally, print out core vocabulary boards for my non-verbal learners. I currently only have access to black and white printers at school. The ink will provide details about each word and picture for the students understand the meaning of the word.
